Petition White House site crashes, stops votes for marijuana legalization

marijuana legalization petition crashed the White House website

WhiteHouse.gov has added a “We The People” section where any petition that gets more than 5,000 signatures will get a direct response from the Administration. Marijuana Legalization, as usual, is the top petition by thousands and thousands of signatures. Surprise! Too bad the site has been busted since the section went up.

Whoever is in charge of the White House website should be fired. It took me at least 10 tries to get the page to come up. Then another stack of tries to be allowed to sign up for an account. I would feel totally embarrassed for them…if it didn’t feel like it was on purpose.

Anyway, I encourage you all to keep trying. Why not? When the dust settles and they fix whatever crap is causing their issues, they’ll still be stuck having to respond to the petition called “Legalize and Regulate Marijuana in a Manner Similar to Alcohol.” Last I checked (when I could get to the site) it had 17,400 signatures. The threshold for a response is 5,000.

I’m sure they’ll respond with a measured, practical argument for the wildly popular and successful prohibition of marijuana.

RX for US: What’s it finally going to take after a lifetime (Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama) of prohibition, denial and the criminalization of TENS OF MILLIONS of honest folks? Take over the Dems and Repubs with a MMJ Party, so we can truly par-tay.

Please sign my petition to eliminate the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), the “Drug Czar”. Eliminating these scum could deal a serious blow to the powers that be.

You can view and sign the petition here:

Here’s some more information about this petition:

Eliminate the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP).

The legislation that congress used to create the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), also known as the Drug Czar’s office, requires that the ONDCP reject any attempts to reform laws for any substances on the List of Controlled Substances.

Because of this restriction, the ONDCP has shown time and again that it is willing to lie and distort facts in order to fulfill that mandate. This behavior by the ONDCP is un-American and immoral, and should not be allowed in a free and democratic society.

This petition requests that the ONDCP be eliminated.

Obama wants to forgive millions of illegal immigrants, but his fellow citizens who smoke MJ are still criminals in his eyes. He smoked like a chimney as a youth in Hawaii. This hypocritical Obamination (pun intended) will put his re-election in danger.
